THE SMITHS ON BRITISH TELLY (PART 4)


First shown as part of BBC2's OGWT Derby Assembly Rooms in December 1983, it was also performed live in the Manchester studio of BBC North West's YES programme on 6 February 1984 along with 'What Difference Does It Make?'. At a time when it was still unavailable on vinyl (and absent from the debut album they were currently promoting), 'This Night Has Opened My Eyes' was a markedly esoteric choice.
