Sometimes it's not just one song that sticks in the memory from a TV appearance. Which is precisely the case here when Echo & The Bunnymen unleashed three then unknown songs via a Friday evening music programme on Channel 4:-
This was genuinely stunning telly. The show headliners choosing not to play any hits. And the lead singer quite clearly out of his head. Check how quickly the credits roll halfway during the third track as Bunnymac starts ranting about cutting off criminal's genders.

They were an exceptional live act back in the day.......

God, they were good then weren't they? Pissed all over U2. There just wasn't a dud on that album. It might be nearly 28 years old but it still sounds perfect. Thanks for posting!

Apart from their recent "performance" at the Concert Hall in Glasgow which was drunken shambles, or at least Mac was,
anybody else see them on the Heaven up Here tour at the Apollo? The Wild Swans supported. Then they played Glasgow again just before Porcupine came out ... both great gigs.
