MORE GREAT TELLY PERFORMANCES WEEK (Part 1)
See, the thing is, I was thinking you might all be bored with the Scottish singles appearing every day, so for the second week of the holiday I'm returning to some great live telly performances. First up is one which I've featured beore on TVV but just in case some folk missed it, this is what I reckon is Weller's best ever telly appearance in a career than spans almost 35 years. It's from a long-forgotten Channel 4 Friday tea-time programme called Switch which was on in the summer months when The Tube took a break:-
mp3 : The Style Council - Money Go Round (Parts 1 & 2)
mp3 : The Style Council - Money Go Round (Live on 'Switch')
Happy Listening and viewing.

I know The Jam fans didn't go much for The Style Council but I think they did some cracking singles to start off with.
Where's the rest of the band in this vid by the way. The bass is funky as hell
Love your blog by the way. I have a blog deidicated to 12" singles with the occasional oddity you might like.
Nice TV quarrying again jc. Don't recall the show too clearly. It's a good live vocal piece right enough.
I was 1 Jam fan who loved much of the TSC stuff, Nigtboat. Although I was never totally enamoured by this early track (lots of the usual Weller magpie-like grabbing goin' on).
And the brass always sounded a bit odd in places to my cloth ears. Yet I loved 'Headstart For Happiness' from the same plastic.
It may also have been around this time that I fell in lust with Dee C Lee.
