THE MOST FRIGHTENING THING....EVER!!!

But I'll come to that in a moment.  First up, some appropriately named tunes for today:-

mp3 : Lambchop - Scared Out Of My Shoe
mp3 : The Prodigy - Ghost Town
mp3 : New Order - Spooky

The most frightening thing ever?

Seeing a close friend dance to this and enjoying it..........

Eye-wateringly awful.

Hang on...ELO...superb band. Go back and check out gems like Mr Radio, Mama, Whisper In The Night (featuring Mr Wood, pre Wizard)...they were a great band. Jeff Lynne wrote some superb songs. A New World record from '75 is still a great album. I love 'em. Thank you and goodnight.

I could have swore you were very happy as you jigged away as I mumbled something about foot soldiers and punk wars.........

ELO - marvellous.

Tenuous (and possibly tedious) top-of-the-head link time:
My schoolfriends wrote in and Annie Nightingale played 'Sweet Talkin' Woman' for my 16th birthday on her hugely popliar Sunday afternoon request show in '78.

ELO violinist Mik Kominsky lives near me now. Gold discs n all. Nice old boy.
From Wiki ..

"Kaminski applied for the vacant post as ELO's violinist because of an advertisement in the Melody Maker. He was recruited after two interviews.

Kaminski was one of the three remaining string players for the group when Jeff Lynne decided to remove them. However, he appeared in the band again when he played a solo on the 1983 single "Rock 'n' Roll Is King". Later on he joined the ELO offshoot ELO Part II, playing as part of the live touring band.
Apart from the hits he had with ELO, in early 79 Kaminski made the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart as the frontman of a one-hit wonder group called Violinski, with the single "Clog Dance"."

Y'see 'Beauty' (above) is right!

Oh, and there's an old lad who goes in The Regent pub. Flat cap and a woodbine. He's had his voice box remov, so has to 'speak' with one of those mic things he holds up to his throat.
We call him 'Mr Blue Sky'.
