Thank you, I'm here all week...

And how good is It's A Gas?

I reckon 'Watusi' is considered a bit of an awkward LP - maybe because it's pretty diverse 'all the songs don't sound the same'. But looking at that tracklisting reminds me it's a solid record. In fact this post's inspired me to play it today.

It's a gas is great, as is I'm a Rat - one of Gedge's great love gone wrong songs

I am so glad that you posted this. Aside from Dalliance, I never really found The Wedding Present to be my thing. However, after listening to these songs, my mind is most definitely changed.

I still reckon it's their weakest record, tbh. But hey, what do I know???

Thanks! I've finally heard it.

I didn't realise this was so rare, having bought all their stuff at the time. I also bought the double single CDs of Yeah Yeah yeah Yeah Yeah, which have better versions of Spangle and Gazebo, if my memory serves. Anyone interested in an upload???

Working my way through your blog, I see it's been posted already. Sorry for wasting everyone's time. Anywho, has anyone got any Weeping Messerschmitts?

First time I've ever heard the full-band version of 'Swimming Pools, Movie Stars' - that makes me happy, so thank you.

I've loved this song ever since I heard David Gedge play a solo acoustic version for John Peel sometime in the early 2000s.
