BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS WEEK (2)

Size Matters.

And I should just let the music speak for itself.

So here's all the Soft Cell 12" singles that I have in the cupboard:-

mp3 : Soft Cell - Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go
mp3 : Soft Cell - Bedsitter
mp3 : Soft Cell - Say Hello, Wave Goodbye
mp3 : Soft Cell - Torch
mp3 : Soft Cell - What
mp3 : Soft Cell - Where The Heart Is
mp3 : Soft Cell - Soul Inside

Now if you send the children out of the room, you can have a look at this often talked about but rarely seen promo. It's actually a bit naff if the truth be told but utterly shocking in its day:-

No sleaze tomorrow. I promise.

Read an interview with them recently where they kind of regretted fighting against the whole pop music thing. That is a stunning set of singles by anyones standard

And the B-sides. Insecure Me - worra gem!I've got an old SFX somewhere (remember that, a music mag on tape). Where Marc talks about this vid. The Dwarf's name was Tony.

I saw them start of this decade, a reunion tour (obviously) pre Marc's accident. It was just an amazing show - such a performance, such atmosphere, all the weirdos and dregs came out for it - fantastic. I don't generally care for "nostalgia" tours - they always tend to disappoint - but this was great.

Can also wholly recommend Tainted Life (?) his autobiog. Really good, some great tales in there.
