....that the supremely talented lot above are supposed to be going back into the studio very soon to begin work on what will be their third LP. I know I'm not alone in tingling with anticipation for the results.mp3 : Butcher Boy - I Could Be In Love With Anyone
mp3 : Butcher Boy - Sunday Bells
The first offering can be found on the debut LP Profit In Your Poetry released in March 2007, while the second song is lifted from React or Die which cane out in April 2009. So I'm guessing it might be Spring 2011 before the next record hits the shops. (or maybe not......see below)
Incidentally, I really struggled to narrow it down to those particular tracks. Every one of the 20 tracks on the CDs is as good as the next. Believe me.
And if you don't already own either album, then I would highly recommending spending some of your hard-earned cash right here.
It really is a strange mixed world we live in when Butcher Boy are still so relatively unknown. Maybe next year things will change......
Incidentally, I went to check with a good friend (hi there Doug) who knows someone in the band to check if the rumour was true....
Turns it out it is. Hurrah to the point of infinity.
Also turns out that the deal with How Does It Feel Records has come to an end. The studio work is going to be financed by the band themselves but right now, they are an unsigned combo in terms of having a label to release the fruits of their labour.
In football terms, this makes them the Joe Cole of free agents.
So c'mon all you folk who run record labels......get talking to Butcher Boy now. You won't regret it.....
And if you need it, here's more evidence of why you everyone should be in love with them:-
Happy happy happy happy listening.............and viewing.
Late PS....with thanks to Brian from the consistently excellent Consolation Prizes, here's a solo song from a while back by a member of Butcher Boy and one of the nicest blokes you could ever hope to meet in the music biz:-
mp3 : Basil Pieroni - Don't Ever Go Away Again
Enjoy.

Superb
Great stuff. How have I never ever heard of them before this post? Unbelievable. Anyway, thanks for the link - both albums on their way to me now.
JC, many thanks for your support, we very much appreciate it. I have just returned from CaVa where recording has begun on the new record and after a mere two days work it is already taking great shape.
Robert.
