I am of course refering to Gillian Gilbert and Steven Morris, the folk in New Order who weren't Barney or Hooky.Back in 1991, as if to prove they had as much talent as the more famous/notorious/attention-seeking members of the band, they combined to release a superb pop/dance 12" single on Factory Records.

Stalled at #41 in the charts. Deserved much better.

Great tune, this was the best thing they ever did.
Great record. Apparently it would have been higher in the charts, were it not for the mess at Factory Records. Radio One made it single of the week, but Factory didn’t have the money to press enough records to meet demand. No wonder it imploded soon after.
Just back from holiday where my ipod on shuffle played The Other Two, Monaco and Bad L almost in succession. All very good in their own way.
Also has The Pop Cop who was good for Scottish music news been blown away or is he in different location, any info out there
To be honest it's not a million miles away from a SAW Bananarama record - is it?

Still love this...reminds me of Saint Etienne, oddly enough!
I'm with Rich C on this one, then again I don't like any of the solo stuff that much not even Electronic.
The Pop Cop is now at http://www.thepopcop.co.uk
