Response has been great so far.
Thanks to everyone who has been in touch. Your details should be on the right hand side of the blog.
If you're new here, then this is what it is all about
Paul Haig gave great support to a number of bloggers in the Spring of 2009 when a number of us were hit with all sorts of dmca notices, to the extent that he gave full authority for tracks from his back catalogue to be used in postings. Paul Haig Day was organised at short notice for 6th April and some 40 different bloggers used their space that day to write about his life and work.
Paul Haig Day II is once again on 6th April - exactly four weeks from today.
It would be nice if you joined in. It would also be nice if you could use your own blogs and spaces to spread the word. DMCA notices are still as prevalent as they were this time last year. If anything, it is getting more sinister as can be seen from this relevant piece in a highly-respected UK newspaper.
If you need to no more about Paul Haig, you can scroll down the page to the posting from last Tuesday, or alternatively, dive into wikipedia.
Here's an example of some of the great music he's made over the years.
mp3 : Haig/Mackenzie - Listen To Me
And here's a visual treat for you, with a song and production that featured Bernard Sumner:-
Happy Listening. And thanks for signing up.

Ah if only he'd sung a ditty about Stenhousemuir's league cup run in 1978 I'd be in there.
But if anyone does spot a Paul Haig/fitba & music connection let me know.
In the meantime I look forward to reading all the posts.
I'll see what I can do, although my posting is getting rather sporadic of late.
But I'll look forward to it anyhow!
I'm in.
