And so it is finally Friday. And it just happend to be the day that the new year and new decade comes upon us. And no matter what you read in the papers or on the internet or hear on the telly, there is no-one among us who knows exactly what lies ahead.
In respect of this little piece of fluff and nonsense....well, thanks to the help of some friends, colleagues and comrades it is going to bounce along for the foreseeable future, on a daily basis, with the usual mix of songs from days of old, reviews of gigs and books, loads of typing mistakes and views and opinions that you are free to disagree with.
There's been some visits to some second hand record shops in recent weeks, so a few things are stacked up ready to make a deadly assault on your ears. But in the meantime, here's the traditional TVV greeting for 1st January:-

Oh, I know. I cant just leave you today with that small but perfectly formed mp3. So here's another single from Clare and the boys, taken from the hugely underated LP, Bite which was released back in 1983 and is one of pop's hidden gems:-

In only getting to #46, Love To Stay brought an end to Altered Images' run of chart success as their previous six 45s had all hit all hit the upper reaches of the charts. Oh and the b-side is a marginally different version of another of the songs to be found on Bite in as much that it was recorded live in the studio.
So that's 2010 up and running in respect of TVV. Happy Listening.
