ME AND MY SIDESHOW BOB HAIRCUT...

This was the moment more than any other that made Mrs Villain laugh out loud while we were in Grenada. And yes, she deliberately manoeuvred me into that ridiculous position.

Big big big big THANK YOU to ctel for looking after you all so well this past couple of weeks and for bring some much needed quality and variety to these pages. His own blog Acid Ted is well worth a regular browse, especially if, like me, you dont know all that much about dance/electronica music and are a bit ashamed of that fact.

It's going to take me a couple of days to get back up and running properly, and the 45 45s at 45 series (remember that??) will resume this coming Tuesday with the #10 selection.

I noticed that someone had a problem with a download of The Adventure Babies song from the other day, so I'll try again with that, as well as the song I would have contributed to Contrast Podcast 113 the other day if I'd been around (the theme was the Best of 2008, so far). Of course its from Frightened Rabbit:-

mp3 : The Adventure Babies - Camper Van
mp3 : Frightened Rabbit - Keep Yourself Warm

A few months ago, just before Frightened Rabbit released the LP Midnight Organ Fight, The Pop Cop snagged an interview with singer Scott Hutchison who gave the meaning behind all of theh songs. Keep Yourself Warm is " just about bad, loud nightclubs and bad, loud music and drink... then the outcome of those things when combined. Not a great idea."

The full interview, one of the most revealing and painfully honest I've ever read on any blog, can be found here.

See you all again on Tuesday....

Welcome back JC. Honestly, the quality of posting has been rubbish since you went away.

Well jealous of the sushine holiday break - I'm still looking for something cheap in July, otherwise it'll be a summer of Scottish music festivals for The Pop Cop! Cheers for the plug, by the way ;o)

JESUS!
Look at this picture. My God it's my uncle John, the spitting image! I knew he faked his own death, I knew it! Hiding out in Grenada, livin' it up! Where the fuck's Grenada? Must be the dark side of Canada. Oh well, best of luck uncle John. We went cheap on your funeral so don't think you got the last laugh, ya' prick!

- your favorite nephew

Sorry about all this nonsense with bandwith problems - have now identified what's causing it and am sorting it out just now.
